It’s been a while… I haven’t laughed as hard as I’ve cracked up last night in a very long time. Sitting at the band space with the 3 fellow “Volume Knob” guys was sort of inspiring: Kaan, our singer, tried to explain to us for about 30 minutes what he had had for lunch that evening, and just could not get it out. By the end we thought we had understood that he had eaten some sort of potato dish with rice and some kind of green — what he called “rocher”(?) — salad. Well — turns out he asked his mom(!) what it was, and it actually was breaded Camembert cheese with rice.
At some point we were under the impression that what he had explained was fried mashed potatoes and rice. Whatever. We laughed so hard, that we couldn’t even talk right anymore. Mölgie, singer and front man of the local celebs “Krautschädl” came staggering in and adding to the entertainment. He had a blunt or two more than he would have needed to be “in a good mood”. He came in, got his MacBook and left again. Then some of the weirdos he was working with yesterday came in and started to be all smart ass with us. They are some HipHop prolos I guess. Either way, they really got on my nerve, telling us how they were good at fucking cos they’re not vegan and what not. I asked them with a completely serious face, whether it was hard for them to not be able to use real instruments and needed to play on the computer for that. i guess they got the hint, as they left, uttering something hard to understand — and comprehend — about that I should ask my girlfriend about that vegan gang bang with them. It made about zero sense.
Received a call then from Meg on the way to the car. I had been looking forward to talking to her. Hofi and I then left and I drove him home. On the way we noticed a not too bad sounding intro on the radio. We both agreed that the vocals sort of sounded like Axl Rose and speculated that this might be the preview of what’s to come in “Chinese Democracy”. Funny enough, the host then pretty much repeated our very conversation about the long wait and the leak online after the song. So much for unimportant trivia. It felt great to be able to be so dorky again and had sort of hoped that this mood could carry on through that phone conversation at home. Which it unfortunately didn’t. I am just feeling rather empty and it’s hard to find any motivation to work on love related things these days, even if things seem so clear in my head.
Today is relatively busy, having to take care of a bunch of legal and financial issues. And for the first time in my life I will get a voting card, to vote from abroad. I just decided for that now, after the Animal Rights people finally got freed a few days ago and Martin is running for office now.
Also, I need to finally respond to the Secu-Tech people, whether ‘ll take their short term contract or not. And since i got a project offer in on Tuesday as well as Wednesday, there is more to be evaluated. At least shit to keep me busy I guess. Contemplating going out for my weekly dance night tonight. Also, I should call Madelaine to wish her luck for the time ahead of her. In fact, I will do that now.
P.S.: If any one knows of a quick and affordable way to transfer money from my European bank to my US account, leaving out PayPal and physically moving it, I would greatly appreciate it. It’s sort of an emergency, to prevent an overdrawn account, while I do have the funds in another country.
