Monthly Archive for July, 2005

as promised

alright… a few things:

- the fence should be done soon - a week or so would be my guess - and then: bug playground extraordinaire… right in front of the house…
- saturday we went to the vali-hi drive in… was fun as usual - and this time we actually made it it until the end at 4am…

  • war of the worlds: ummm… yeah… tom cruise is just weird. lack of story, therefor great visuals and cgi. 2/5
  • wedding crashers: well - i like owen wilson. so 4/5.
  • the amityville horror: for one i am a sucker for horror and then i like the van wilder dude. however, there were a bit too many far-fetched things in that one for my taste… 2/5

- work is going slooooow
- more grades in: 2x As already this semester… hahaha… awesome. i doubled my A-stats in one semester… also a C in DKE, which made me 7th or 8th best out of 141… w00t w00t
- i need to shave - thus… i’m off for now… not without leaving my favorite shot of the month here. chicago o’hare on july 4th:

lightning

muahahaha - this morning it seemed like zeus was trying to get our house and crush it into pieces. at like 5:30 - guesstimate - there was the most awesome thunderstorm going on that i have seen - or more like “heard” - in a long time. had i not been more dead than asleep i finally would’ve grabbed my cam and gotten my lightning shots… but oh no… how to do so w/o a fucking tripod? speaking of which:

if you have one of the following for sale, let me know please:
- stable, not too heavy tripod (something like a velbon sherpa 750n)
- nikon nikkor 50mm f1.8 af d
- nikon nikkor 80-200mm

p.s.: i got a feeling that some more rants will follow up later on…

ummm… yeah
